Over my 17 year career I have experience with a wide variety of servers from physical servers from Dell, HP, and Cisco along with SANs from Dell, HP, and EMC.  On those physical servers I have directly deployed Windows Server versions from 2003 though 2022. I have also deployed and managed numerous HyperV and VMWare virtualization clusters. I have installed, configured, and managed over 750 physical servers, and thousands of virtual servers in my career as well.

I have designed, configured, deployed, and managed several Cisco HyperFlex clusters for medium and larger enterprises.  These systems have been game changers for these organizations with all of them commenting that the ease of management, performance, and storage efficiencies they have achieved with these clusters have improved their server and data center operations.   I have used both the HX DP platform installer and Cisco Intersight method of deployment, along with UCSM and Intersight for management. 

Cisco HyperFlex is my favorite hyperconverged infrastructure platform due to the fact that it is built on Cisco UCS which is a gamer changer for server management and it has some of the best performance in an HCI platform. This is partly because it is a full stack solution using Cisco NXOS based fabric interconnects.

I have consulted and guided many customers on their AWS cloud journeys.  Some of these engagements were full on-premise to cloud migrations, and others were hybrid deployments where some infrastructure and servers were in the cloud while others were left on premise.

Some of my other AWS consulting work involved helping clients deploy certain services such a S3 buckets for data storage and backups, elastic load balancers for improved performance and HA for web servers, Cognito for integration into existing Microsoft ADFS for IAM management for web services, and security posture consulting for AWS VPCs and security groups.

I am well versed in AWS core services including VPCs, networking, security groups, VGWs/VPNs, IAM, Cloudtrail, Cloudwatch, EC2, ELB, KMS, S3, Route53, GuardDuty, FSx, and Backup. I also have experience in using AWS Application Migration Service for performing server migrations.
